Dipa Karmakar first Indian to win gold in Gymnastics World Challenge Cup

India’s star gymnastics Deepa Karmakar has made another name for himself. In the Gymnastic World Challenge Cup held in Turkey, she did his gold medal on Sunday. Dipa secured the Top place with a score of 14.150 in gymnastics’ Vault competition. This is the first medal of Dipa Karmakar in the World Challenge Cup.
Dipa Karmakar scored just 5.400 in her first attempt. However, in the 2nd attempt, she got a good return by getting a score of 14.200. With this, her average score entered 14.150. Tell you, Dipa Karmakar has made a comeback after almost two years. She finished fourth in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Dipa was injured after an impressive show at the Rio Olympics. During this time they stayed away from the game. Her surgery was also done at this time. They expected to revisit to the Commonwealth Games but it took a lot of time to get better from the injury and they could not fit up to the event organized in the Gold Coast.
