FIFA World Cup 2018: France beat Uruguay 2-0 to Reached semi-finals.

France beat Uruguay 2-0 at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in the first quarterfinal match of the FIFA World Cup 2018. In the match played on Friday, Raphael Varane makes goal his team in the 40th minute.

France defender got the pass of Antoine Griezmann, which he transformed from header to goal. Uruguay got an opportunity to equalize after a minute when France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had hit the head of Martin Caceres with a jumping on his right and stopped the ball.

The France squad was 1-0 ahead at halftime. After this, Antoine Griezman scored for France in the 61st minute to give his team a 2-0 lead, which lasted till the end. Uruguay’s goalkeeper missed the shot of Antoine Griezman and the ball hit him in the goalpost.

In the first half, the France team showed strong play and kept the match on hold. France has so far beat in the tournament in the camp of the super-defending team Uruguay. Before the match in the tournament, Uruguay allowed the opposing team to make just one goal.

Uruguay has lost its star player Edinson Cavani, which has not yet been able to recover from injury. France will face the semi-finals of the Brazil and Belgium competition team.
